Frequently Asked Questions

When it comes to installing solar we’re asked these questions a lot. Here’s the most frequently asked questions about our service:

Does solar increase the value of my home?

A Berkeley study showed that the value goes up an average of $4000 per Kilwatt with the average Long Island home saving 8 kW per year.

What maintenance is required when it comes to the panels?

There are no moving parts. Panels are washed clean with rain and snow so there’s no maintenance required!

Will adding solar put a lean on my home?

There is no lean on purchased solar systems.

What happens if we sell our home and move?

The solar loan can be transferred to the new homeowner or it can be paid in full at the closing as a buying incentive. If the loan is paid in full the new owner will have no power bill. Both options retain the 25 year warranty.

Do I still get power if the grid goes down?

No. If the grid goes down your electricity will go off until it comes back up. This is a safety precaution so that linesman won’t be in danger when making repairs.
